international and domestic travel

Travel to Dallas

Dallas is the third largest city in the State of Texas. Located in North Texas, it is easily accessible by highway from Houston, Austin, San Antonio, and other major cities across the state and the nation.

Just 20 miles from Dallas’ downtown districts, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport (DFW) is the primary international airport serving the Dallas–Fort Worth metroplex and the North Texas Region. DFW offers flights daily to 260 destinations (193 domestic + 67 international. DFW is a modern and efficient facility with reliable service to all parts of the United States and connection service to the rest of the world. DFW is the second-busiest airport in the world. Airport transportation is available by taxi, charter and public transportation.

Each year, dozens of people travel to GCEC from outside the United States. We know international travel can be tricky, so we've gathered some travel information for you.

Visa Information

It is important to make sure that you’ll be allowed into the U.S. when you arrive for GCEC. For many attendees, simply registering for the The VISA Waiver Program (VWP) through the ESTA website will be sufficient, but some travelers may need or want to have U.S. visas issued prior to travel to the U.S. Check out the U.S. Bureau of Consular Affairs for the most up-to-date information on how to apply for your U.S. VISA.

The Visa Waiver Program enables most citizens or nationals of participating countries to travel to the United States for tourism or business for stays of 90 days or less, without first obtaining a visa. Travelers must have a valid Electronic System for Travel Authorization (ESTA) approval prior to travel.

Delays for U.S. visas are currently very unpredictable, and in some cases very long. However, if you need or prefer to have a visa in your passport, you may apply for a visitor (B) VISA through a U.S. consulate or embassy. Individuals applying for a visa will first need to submit an electronic application form, known as the DS-160 Non-Immigrant Visa Electronic Application form. Once that form is completed, you will need to schedule an interview at a U.S. embassy or consulate; once you schedule this interview, you may be notified that the interview requirement is waived and you may apply for the visa by post.
